What SoleBooks is for

SoleBooks is a bookkeeping and business record-keeping app for sole traders and small business users. It can help users keep receipts, quotes, invoices, mileage entries, jobs, clients, VAT-related records and export information organised.

Information you choose to enter

SoleBooks may process information you choose to add to the app, such as business details, client details, job records, quotes, invoices, receipt images, receipt values, mileage entries, notes, VAT-related figures and exported files.

Where records are stored only on your device, LabNua may not be able to access, recover or restore them. You are responsible for reviewing, exporting and backing up records you need to keep.

Receipts, Smart Scan and extracted values

SoleBooks may let you use your camera or photo library to capture receipt images. Receipt scanning and Smart Scan features may analyse receipt images to suggest values or text for your records. Suggested values may be incomplete or incorrect, and you should review and edit them before saving or relying on them.

LabNua does not guarantee receipt scan accuracy, OCR accuracy, tax accuracy, VAT accuracy, invoice accuracy, mileage accuracy, accountant acceptance or legal compliance.

Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics

SoleBooks uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand app usage, improve reliability and diagnose crashes.

• Firebase Analytics may collect app usage information such as app opens, screen or feature interactions, product interaction data, approximate usage information, app instance identifiers and related device information.
• Firebase Crashlytics may collect crash reports, stack traces, app state, diagnostic logs, device type, operating system version and other technical information needed to investigate app stability issues.

We do not intentionally include receipt contents, invoice details, client names, mileage details or financial record details in analytics events or crash logs. If you contact support and choose to share screenshots, exports or record details, we will use that information to respond to your request.

Purchases and subscriptions

If SoleBooks offers paid features, subscriptions or in-app purchases, payment is handled by Apple through your Apple account. SoleBooks may receive information needed to confirm purchase or subscription status, restore access and manage app functionality. Apple processes payment information under Apple’s own terms and privacy practices.

Support messages

If you email LabNua for support, we may receive your email address, message content, attachments and any information you choose to include, such as device model, iOS version, screenshots or a description of the issue. We use this information to respond to your request and improve the app.

Local storage, deletion and backups

SoleBooks may store certain records, receipts, images, invoices, mileage entries, job details and related business information locally on your device unless an export, backup or cloud feature is made available and enabled.

Important: if you delete SoleBooks, uninstall the app, delete the app’s data, reset your device, lose access to your device, disable backups or if local app data is otherwise removed, records and receipt images stored only on that device may be permanently deleted and may not be recoverable by LabNua.

You should regularly export and retain copies of any records required for tax, accounting, legal or business purposes, and you should do so before deleting the app or changing devices.

How we use information

• To provide the app features you choose to use.
• To save, display, export and organise records inside the app.
• To operate purchases, subscriptions and entitlement checks where applicable.
• To provide support and respond to privacy requests.
• To improve app performance, reliability, usability and stability.
• To detect, investigate and fix crashes or technical issues.

Tracking and advertising

SoleBooks is not designed around third-party advertising. The current privacy position for SoleBooks is that Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics are used for analytics and diagnostics, not for cross-app advertising tracking. If advertising, IDFA-based tracking or additional third-party marketing services are added in future, this policy and App Store privacy answers should be updated before release.

Data sharing

We may share limited information with service providers that help operate SoleBooks, such as Apple services for purchases and Google Firebase services for analytics and crash reporting. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, or to respond to lawful requests.

Data retention

Records stored locally in SoleBooks remain on your device until you delete them, delete the app or remove app data. Support emails may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to handle support, legal or operational matters. Analytics and crash diagnostic data is retained according to the settings and policies of the relevant service providers.

Your choices and rights

You can choose what information you enter into SoleBooks. You can delete local records in the app where the feature is available, export records you need to keep, or delete the app from your device. You may contact LabNua at support@labnua.com to ask about access, correction or deletion of information we hold about you, subject to legal, technical and operational limits.

Children

SoleBooks is intended for sole traders, self-employed people and small business users. It is not intended for children and LabNua does not knowingly collect personal information from children through SoleBooks.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be published on this page with the updated date shown above.
